UCLA is conveniently located 12 miles north of the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). This distance is approximately 30 minutes by taxi/car without traffic delay. We recommend the following modes of transportation, all of which are available at the airport:

UCLA is approximately 8 miles east of the Santa Monica and Venice Beaches. It is only 2 miles west of Beverly Hills (Rodeo Drive), 6 miles west of Hollywood, and 10 miles west of downtown Los Angeles, home of the Frank Gehry-designed Walt Disney Concert Hall, the LACMA and MOCA art museums, the Hollywood Bowl, and Dodger Stadium.

Other nearby attractions include Disneyland, Universal Studios and Magic Mountain. There are abundant hiking opportunities in nearby Will Rogers State Park and the Santa Monica Mountains.
